Combining a complete overhaul with an extension that redefines the use of space in the centre of Ibiza, the Hotel Ibiza project represents a significant architectural intervention in the Hotel Pacha. In addition to the revitalisation of the iconic existing building, the project also provides for potential growth through the addition of exclusive residences or additional hotel units, complemented by an underground parking facility with 100 spaces.
The Hotel Ibiza is an example of a blend of modernity and tradition, embodying a fresh and elegant hospitality concept on a 2,250 square metre site. With communal areas at the heart of the guest experience, the hotel’s 100 rooms are set in an environment that celebrates the essence of the island. Instead of a traditional reception or restaurant, the design proposes an open, flexible and functional space that integrates work, social and relaxation areas, blurring the boundaries between private and public spaces.
Two key elements are at the heart of the project. Firstly, it embodies a natural approach, creating an urban oasis that harmonises with the rhythm of Ibiza’s nature through the use of native vegetation and water features at different levels.
The second is to reinforce the identity of Grupo Pacha by using materials and shapes inspired by the island’s traditional architecture, highlighted by the brand’s signature red colour.
A Design Celebrating Flexible Spaces and Environmental Connectivity
The design proposed by GRAS transforms Hotel Ibiza into a dynamic, flexible urban space where expansive terraces surrounding the buildings extend the outdoor areas, allowing each room and apartment to enjoy a direct connection with the surroundings.
Hotel Ibiza is more than just a place to stay; it is a contemporary celebration of the Mediterranean spirit—vibrant, playful, and magnetic—inviting every guest to experience a unique and liberating atmosphere.
