Gras Reynés Arquitectos takes part in Hotel Design Mallorca 2017

19/05/2017

We would like to inform you that GRAS Reynes Arquitectos has been invited to the event organized by Grupo Vía called Hotels Design Mallorca 2017.

Grupo Vía is a business group dedicated to the organization of events of all kinds related to architecture and interior design. Created in 2000 with the aim of creating a debate at a business level in the hotel and architectural sector of our country. Apart from the events they organise, five major magazines are also published: Vía Hotel, Vía Construcción, Vía inmobiliaria, Arquitectura Plus, Interiorismo Plus, whose main focus is on architecture and interior design in the country's hotel companies. The main purpose of Grupo Vía is to put architects and businessmen of the construction industry in general in contact with each other in order to spread a dialogue and good practices in the realization of projects.

As we say, this year the symposium has been organized in Mallorca, and the attendees include architects Jaime Oliver and Paloma Hernaiz of OHLAB, Emma Tapia and Narcís Ventura of N6 ARCHITECTS, Estrella Sanz of IBEROSTAR and our direct Guillermo Reynés of GRAS-REYNÉS ARCHITECTS. On the side of entrepreneurs in the hotel sector are found: Inmaculada Benito, President of FEHM, Nuria and Ana Nadal, owners and architects of SENSE HOTELS, as well as Gabriel Martí, General Director of SENSE HOTELS and Edward de Gispert, Expansion Director of BARCELÓ HOTELS.

The debate held had two main lines of argument: investment in innovation and design within hotels in Mallorca, and invest in the quality of establishments to attract a type of public with greater resources.

Our studio GRAS Reynés Arquitectos had the pleasure of presenting our project carried out in 2014 for the Hotel Bohemia of Gran Canaria Islands.

The Hotel Bohemia project consisted of an integral reform of the old Apolo Hotel, transforming it into a 5-star category hotel. GRAS Reynés Arquitectos, together with Pía Schmid, have created a restaurant for 360 guests in the upper part of the building, with 180-degree views of the dunes of Mas Palomas.

Undoubtedly this type of collaborative initiatives, which put businessmen and architects in contact, help architects studios like ours to spread our work and create a network of solid contacts with which to work for the construction of related projects and in which the comfort of the client are the objective.

We thank Grupo Vía for the invitation and support them in continuing to hold these kinds of debates that contribute so much to our sector.
