Fuera de Serie, the new weekly magazine of the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, has dedicated to the new residential complex designed by our firm, GRAS Reynés Arquitectos, called .
This new construction project, promoted by , consists of 20 single-family houses in total, each one of which covers an area of about 180 m2.
Located near the coast of Cala Vinyes, in Calviá (Mallorca), this project gives a paramount importance to the landscape design and focuses, particularly, on the recovery of the native vegetation of the Balearic Islands. For this reason, on the roofs of each house and in the communal gardens of the residential complex, species such as olive, citrus, wild olive and pine trees will be planted.
project proposes 14 duplexes in the highest part of the plot and another 6 private villas in the lowest part.
On one hand, the duplexes offer panoramic sea views and a distribution oriented to the common gardens of the urbanization aggravating the sense of the community.
On the other hand, the 6 houses in the lower part of the plot offer a distribution that intensifies the privacy. The articulation of the rooms is realized around an internal patio granting, at the same time, a view at the private garden.
An attractive essense of this courtyard is the majestic olive tree that is planted in the middle of the patio, on a spot where the house, through wide windows, frames the sky, allowing a wide opening to the natural light.
