Xim Barceló de Fortuny

Xim Barceló graduated from the ETSAB (Escola Técnica Superior Arquitectura Barcelona) as an architect and has worked with GRAS Arquitectos since 2014. In his professional career he has combined architecture with design and photography. As GRAS architect he has participated in numerous national and international competitions, as well as in various projects in national territory. The projects carried out in GRAS include different architectural scales, urban masterplans; residential projects, from official housing to premium housing; Several hotel projects, both new construction, reform and enlargement; Sports and educational complexes... The GRAS Arquitectos exhibition for the International Architecture Biennale of Venice 2016 has just finished, where the studio has been selected to participate in the exhibition Time, Space and Existence, with three of his most significant works. Currently Xim manages the construction of the Brick Hotel, a new hotel concept in the historic center of Palma, where the Brutalist finish is particularly important; And led the project of 69 homes in Santa Ponsa, an important social housing project in the coastal town of Calviá
