Iria Gámez graduated from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona, ETSAB-UPC. During her studies she participated in different university exchanges such as Seneca in Madrid, Erasmus in Athens and UPC Master in Shanghai, and in European workshops and research groups with whom she travelled regularly to West Africa and Argentina. In addition, she combined university with architectural internships in studios in Barcelona and Paris. During the last two years of her studies, she obtained several collaboration grants, Ministry and UPC, to work in the department of architectural projects of the ETSAB, participating in the teaching guide, classes, lectures, conferences and publications.

After her university period she made collaborations with architecture studios in Palma and Madrid. In 2014, she joined GRAS Reynés Arquitectos and, between 2015 and 2018, she moves to Madrid to open and manage GRAS headquarters there carrying out projects and competitions from Madrid to the Canary Islands.

Nowadays, back in Mallorca, in addition to designing and developing projects such as Can Gater (a multi-family building in the Historic Center of Palma de Mallorca) or the reform project of a single-family villa with swimming pool in Puigpunyent, among others, Iria Gámez directs the Competitions Department of GRAS Reynés Arquitectos. A department that has managed to gather and consolidate a great team and potential with international vocation.
